The Johnson Family Visits Sea World

Somewhat spontaneously, we decided to take a drive down to San Diego, and spend a few hours at Sea World.  We caught the Shamu Show right away, and spent the rest of the time exposing Nicky to some of the great marine wildlife at the park!  And, for the surprise ending to our day...we discovered the Sesame Street kids' play area, complete with photo opportunities with some of the kids' favorite S. Street characters.  Next trip, we're going to Sesame Street FIRST!!!

To My Mom on Mother's Day

If you know my Mom, then you know what a unique and amazing woman she is.  What you may not know, or truly realize, is how wonderful a Mother she is, and has been, to me and my brother.  There is SO much to share about my Mom...this video is only a taste of this wise, artistic, strong, loving, important influence in my own life (as a woman, a human being, and a mother)!

The Little Singer

Nicky has definitely become a big fan of "Sesame Street", and especially of Elmo and his special segment "Elmo's World."  Nicky knows the theme song music to "Elmo's World" so well that he will come running from another room when he hears it.  The other day, he decided to sing along with Elmo during the opening tune.  Listen closely...............................

Our Backyard Transformation

After being in our house for nearly five years, and with the addition of Nicholas, we decided it was time to change our no plant-life/rock & concrete area...into a real "backyard", complete with flowers, bushes, trees, and GRASS!!  Many thanks to the folks at The Plant Nerd for their fabulous job!  Check out the before-and-after pictures below for the ultimate landscape makeover..................
